Living Water

...Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

John 3:5

There is water over most of the globe and little elsewhere in our solar system. Our body is mostly water, so doctors tell us. Living water, to many, would mean it is pure for drinking. Palatable is often stamped on that water. Here in the USA we have an abundance of water from wells, rivers, and lakes. Compare our population that has water to other places, and that population is small.
Even those who have palatable water may reject the Living Water. And many who live elsewhere have no palatable water receive the Living Water. In the second chapter of Jeremiah, God calls Himself the Spring of Living Water. Water reminds us of the need we have for the life that God gives through His Son, our Savior, Jesus. Water reminds us of the life that is given in baptism. We have life through the Living Water.

Lord, I ask you to keep me reminded of my water of baptism whenever I wash. Amen.

Remember: Let the abundance of water in your life continually remind you of Jesus the Living Water.
