When I entered Jeannie’s house, I was met by the sweet aroma of cinnamon. I wasn’t sure if she had baked muffins or was burning a candle. Regardless, my friend had prepared a welcoming and pleasant
atmosphere with me in mind.
We have opportunities to spread a much more appealing fragrance wherever we go—the fragrance
of Christ. When we meet with him in Bible reading or
in prayer, Jesus gives us his fragrance. He shows us his
mind, character, and love. That fragrance rubs off on
us and we, in turn, spread it to others. It’s a fragrance
that’s more than pleasant, it’s life changing.
