When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.
When the wise men came from the east looking for the newborn King of the Jews, were they surprised to find him in such humble surroundings? We do know that they were filled with joy as they followed the star, then fell down and worshipped him, giving him costly gifts.
Today, we know where to find our Epiphany Savior.
He is found in his Word, which is heard just a short drive across town to our chosen place of worship. Just as those men of old, we too come with joy filled hearts to bring our gifts. We sing hymns of praise and go on our way rejoicing that this Babe of Bethlehem is the one who grew up to be the Christ of Calvary. Hallelujah!
