Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
Jesus tells us that we are to be the light of the world, and we should reflect God’s light and let our light shine.
God intends for the world to be able to see him by his reflection in his people. Our faith light is not meant to be covered or hidden; it is to shine brightly so those in darkness will see it.
Faith is that guiding light within us that shines through every time we reach out to others. This reaching out is the “I can see Jesus in you” because it shines forth brightly.
On our life’s journey, faith shines, dispelling the darkness. When our light shines, our faith is shared beyond Paul’s words: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Lord, I pray that it is your will to guide my thoughts, words, deeds, and actions. Amen.
Reflect: Reach out to someone and let them know you are thinking about them.
