Snowstorm

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.”

John 14:6

Years ago, my husband and I drove through a snowstorm in separate cars. It wasn’t long before the snowstorm was so blinding, I lost sight of his taillights. My white-knuckled driving slowed to a crawl. I prayed I would stay safe and find my way to our destination.
Following Jesus means that through faith, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to act more like Christ. We serve God by serving one another—always keeping our focus on the light before us.
Jesus is not simply a set of taillights we follow to lead to our final destination. He is the path! Through the worst storms of life, we continue to look for Jesus to keep us safe and to see us through.

Jesus Christ, guide me. Holy Spirit, sanctify me. Heavenly Father, preserve me. Amen.

Reflect: How have you seen the Holy Spirit working to grow your faith and Christ-following?
