Ralph's Story: Jesus

Hebrews 12:1-2

My friend Ralph died last fall at 84. He served in local churches as an educator and evangelist and at national and district church levels. He pioneered evangelism efforts in rural and small-town churches. He also served at his home church, supporting deaf ministry and other special needs families. Ralph would never take credit for “triumphs” but only point to Jesus and others. Their family faced trials over the years. Ralph cared for his wife during years of illness and she for him. After her death, he searched for opportunities to serve others and reached out until his unexpected death. By God’s grace, he transformed many lives including my own.

Hebrews 12 tells Ralph’s story: “... let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus ... who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross.”
