Words, words, words. Words may be spoken, sung, or written. Some sources indicate that our English Bible is composed of more than 783,000 words.

Our theme for this quarter is centered on three words: trials, triumphs, and transformations, and yet they are only found in scripture 13 times in 11 of the 66 books.

In our Lutheran Service Book, Divine Service Setting Four, we are joyfully reminded and sing “These things are written that you may believe that Jesus Christ in the Son of God” (John 20:31). As we share words from our Hope-Full Living devotions, we know they are words centering on our living a joyful life through trials and triumphant transformations, awaiting the day that it is completed in his calling us to our eternal home.
