I always enjoyed visiting Betty, a retired kindergarten teacher. She had started a new group to help her fellow residents in assisted living to deal with the changes

that came with their new surroundings. “It’s called ‘AAA Club’ and it stands for Acknowledge, Accept, and Adapt,” she told me. Betty explained, “First you have

to Acknowledge the things that require you to be here instead of your home. Then you need to Accept the

fact that life will not be like it used to be. And then you learn to Adapt to your new surroundings, finding joy in new friendships and helpful caregivers.” God was using Betty’s gift of teaching to encourage others. How might God use what he has given you today to benefit others?
