A Content Child

Stanza three of the hymn, Children of the Heavenly Father, is: “Neither life nor death shall ever, From the Lord His children sever; Unto them His grace He showeth, And their sorrows all He knoweth.” These lyrics resounded in my heart after hearing the unexpected news of a close friend of ours who found his wife, Jennifer, lying in bed one morning — she had passed on to her eternal home in glory. They were still unpacking boxes in their new retirement home in Florida ... shocking!
