Gatherings

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Our annual holiday traditions are so important to us. We hope that our celebrations will occur without trouble and be filled with peace. When different situations present themselves, we may be overwhelmed by dismal thoughts.

It is hard to contemplate the fact that unknown trials may creep into those gatherings. These trials come from us, from others in our world, or from the devil himself. Ever since the fall into sin, temptations are real. However, our triumph is in how we deal with them when they occur. Our Romans text brings comfort in the glory that will be revealed to us through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
